Overview

I led the redesign of Union Bank’s print collateral system to align with its new brand identity. This comprehensive project included creating a cohesive design system for a wide range of print materials, from large-format brochures to product sheets across all bank programs.

Project Context

Managing a team of designers, I spearheaded the rebrand of over 300 individual collateral pieces within a tight, four-month timeline. Along the way, I developed style guides and templates for both Union Bank and The Private Bank, ensuring consistent and streamlined execution across all assets.

Union Bank Style Guide

The style guide covered all the basics—logo placement, color palette, typography, grid systems, and how to use graphic elements and photography. I also created detailed InDesign templates with character and paragraph styles to ensure consistency across all pieces, no matter who was working on them.

The Private Bank Style Guide

For The Private Bank, Union Bank’s wealth management division, I elevated the brand to feel more upscale and exclusive. They owned rights to a collection of Ansel Adams’ black-and-white photos, so I leaned into that classic, high-end aesthetic to set it apart.

Because of strict rules about how those photos could be used, I created a separate style guide just for The Private Bank, with tailored templates to maintain brand integrity with a luxury appeal.
